Question:How do I renew online a book that I have checked out? |
|
Answer:Here are brief instructions for renewing materials online. Begin by selecting Catalogs on the NYPL home page (http://www.nypl.org). Since all materials that circulate are in the LEO catalog, click on LEO (or LeoTelnet if you have Telnet). Next, click on Patron Information. A screen will appear, telling you to enter your NYPL barcode and Personal Identification Number (PIN) (usually the last 4 digits of your phone number unless you specified a different numbers when you registered for your NYPL card). If you don't know your PIN, call your local branch (a full listing of branches is available at: http://www.nypl.org/hours/) or the Mid-Manhattan Library's Registration Desk at 212-576-0015. When you have entered this information in the boxes provided, click on Submit. Then, click on Items Out. Select the item(s) you want to renew and click on the Renew button at the bottom right side of the screen. |
